Evenstar Ensemble is Portland, Oregon’s newest professional vocal ensemble, dedicated to performing polyphonic a cappella music from the Renaissance and beyond. Our goal is to offer audiences exciting, inspired, and transformative performances while honoring some of the greatest masterpieces in the vocal music canon. Comprised of some of the most accomplished and promising choral musicians from across Oregon, Evenstar Ensemble strives to ensure that our singers are fairly compensated and supported. To achieve this, we need your help!

The Goal: Raise $15,000

• The cost of producing a concert is roughly $5,000, so in order to sing three concerts next year we need to raise $15,000.

• Concert expenses include but are not limited to: 

  • Competitive compensation for our singers

  • Venue rentals for rehearsals and concerts

  • Printing costs for music, programs, and promotional materials

  • Professional quality audio recording and editing

  • Live concert videos that can be streamed on demand shortly after a performance

  • Clinics with world class early music ensembles

  • Mandatory federal/state/local registration fees to maintain nonprofit status

Can Evenstar apply for grants to help fund the season? 

• Most granting organizations require applicants to show at least one year of financial solvency before they are eligible to receive, or often times even apply, for grants. 

• Because of this, we need YOUR help! For this first year, we'll be relying on word of mouth, grassroots donations from our community to produce a full season. No contribution amount is too small. 

What if I can't donate at this time but I still want to help Evenstar? 

• No problem! While we do need capital funds in order for the organizaiton to function, there are many ways to get involved. 

• Please reach out to evenstarensemble@gmail.com or fill out the "Contact Us" form on our website, www.evenstarensemble.org to let us know you're interested in volunteering. 

• Possible opportunities to help out include but are not limited to: 

  • Volunteering at concerts

  • Contacting local businesses to inquire about corporate sponsorships

  • Raising awareness about the organization's existence through you're social networks

  • Connecting us with potential partner organizations for events

  • Encouraging others to donate on your behalf
